Effat University is a private private university for girls and boys. It was founded in 1999 and is located in the city of Jeddah. It is considered the first private university designated primarily for girls in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The college was named after Queen Iffat Al-Thunayan, wife of Saudi King Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
