Description
The Medina region is one of the administrative regions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The headquarters of its emirate is Medina, and its emirate is ruled by Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. It is ranked third in terms of area, and fifth in terms of population. Among its most famous places are the Noble Prophet’s Mosque and the famous mosques in the city, such as the Qiblatain Mosque, Quba Mosque, and the Baqi’ Al-Gharqad cemetery, or Al-Baqi’ as people call it today.This cemetery includes many companions, such as: Othman bin Affan, the wife of the Prophet, Mother of the Believers, Aisha bint Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, and many of his companions and his entire family.
