The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization was established pursuant to Royal Decree No. M/10 dated 3/3/1392 AH as a body with a legal personality and an independent budget. Its general policy is drawn up by a board of directors headed by His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Industry, and includes representatives of the main parties concerned with standardization in the Kingdom.
